Jazz & Classical Piano, French Horn, Trumpet, Music
& Movement (Dalcroze and/or Orff training preferred),
Violin/Viola/Piano
Accompanist.
A growing, thriving community music school, the Joy of
Music Program (JOMP) is seeking additional teachers who meet the following criteria.
- Masters Degree preferred in music, performance or related
field (will consider Bachelor Degrees)
- Private teaching experience preferred
- Enthusiasm for teaching all levels from beginning to
advanced
- Flexible approach to teaching that can focus on goals and
needs of a variety of students
Currently, JOMP has a faculty of 42
outstanding musicians who have helped build this highly regarded community
music school. Faculty find teaching at JOMP very satisfying because of the
respect and support given to faculty and the enthusiasm of the student body.
Based on a developmental approach to music education, JOMP offers a full and
varied curriculum starting with Music and Movement for preschoolers and
a strong recorder program for 7 to 10 year olds. Enrichment classes also include Creative
and Modern Dance, Childrens Chorus, World Drumming, jazz ensembles, chamber music, Chamber Orchestra and a variety of small
ensembles.
