Alex Bernhardt earned his Bachelors in Music Theory/Composition from Montclair State University as an active percussionist in orchestra, percussion ensemble, and electronic music ensemble. His primary teachers were Marcos Balter (composition), Nathan Davis (electronics and percussion), and Barry Centanni (timpani and drum-set). Alex is a percussionist, keyboardist, and electronics musician, performing frequently on their homemade electronic instrument, the Cryptwarbler. His work involves research and investigation into audio electronics, improvisation with homemade percussive controllers, and producing music for online media using a digital audio workstation.
