Kathleen McDonald

Voice

Soprano Kathleen McDonald has shared her artistry nationally and in Europe to great acclaim. McDonald has distinguished herself as a highly versatile performing artist equally at home in opera, musical theater, and in concert. McDonald had the privilege of originating the role of Della in the musical, “The Gift of The Magi.”

McDonald is a master voice coach, performing artist, Certified HeartSong Coach, and Founder of the HeartSong Center. She finds joy in guiding and mentoring singers to find their true voices at all stages of their artistic development.

McDonald has been a member of the voice faculties of the University of California, Irvine, The College of Saint Rose, Schenectady County Community College, and Berkshire County Community College as well as taught in community music schools, and private and public schools. McDonald teaches through McDonald Music Studio, a highly regarded vocal studio in Greater Boston, Massachusetts. Her students have pursued careers in music, been accepted to noted conservatories and universities, and have won numerous competitions and scholarships. McDonald is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, Opera America, and Mu Phi Epsilon.

McDonald earned a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Vocal Performance, summa cum laude, from the University of California, Irvine and a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from Boston University’s School of Music and was a scholarship recipient to Tanglewood Music Center’s Vocal Program and the Oren Brown Voice Seminar. kathleenmcdonaldmusic.com
