Lianna Bartlett is an emerging flutist who has performed across the United States and internationally. In 2019, she toured Germany with the Classical Beat Festival Orchestra, and in 2021, she performed in Mexico with the Opera Maya Festival Orchestra. Bartlett also had the honor of performing with the Kansas City Lyric Opera in their 2020 production of Amahl and the Night Visitors.
She has participated in masterclasses with renowned flutists such as Jasmine Choi, Jill Felber, Marina Piccinini, Leone Buyse, and Amy Porter. In 2020, she received an Honorable Mention in the KU Concerto Competition and was awarded the Morton and Elizabeth Green Award by the Kansas University Symphony Orchestra.
Bartlett completed her Master’s degree in flute performance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where she served as the flute studio graduate assistant under the guidance of Demarre McGill. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in flute performance from the University of Kansas in December 2020, where she studied with Dr. Daniel Velasco.
Bartlett is also a former JOMP student, having studied with Timothy Terranella throughout middle and high school. A native of Paxton, MA, Lianna recently moved back to central Massachusetts to work as a Flute and Piccolo specialist at Burkart Flutes and Piccolos. Lianna is committed to fostering a love of music in her students, drawing on her own experiences to help them grow as both performers and individuals.
