Yeon Soh grew up in South Korea, where she studied piano from an early age and played with choirs and for church services since middle school. She received her Bachelors and Master of Music degrees in Organ from Ewha Womans University in Seoul, before moving to the US to pursue a Graduate Performance Diploma in Organ at Boston Conservatory under James David Christie. She was the organist for Newton Highlands Congregational Church in Newton from 2003-2014, and is currently the organist for Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Westborough since 2015. Yeon has also served as the pianist/organist for The Cambridge Korean Presbyterian Church in Arlington since 2009.
Yeon has taught both piano and organ lessons since college, has performed in numerous recitals in Seoul, Korea and the US, and regularly accompanies other musicians. She joined the Joy of Music Faculty in the summer of 2024.
