Students are encouraged to participate in a recital once they have learned a piece and want to perform it. This year, in addition to our winter performathon (JOMPATHON) and spring recitals, JOMP will offer an open recital on the first Saturday of every month beginning in November. "First Saturday" recitals are designed to be a welcoming and relaxed experience for student performers of all ages and abilities.

How to Sign Up for a Saturday Recital:

1. Discuss with your teacher.
   Your teacher will determine if you have a piece of music ready to perform.
   
2. Make sure you have all the information needed to sign up.
   You will need the composer’s name, title of the work and movement, and length of the work that you will be performing.
   
3. Sign up for a recital that you can attend.
   Sign-ups will be made available on a rolling basis and shared in JOMP's monthly newsletter.
4. Check your email.
   Following your recital signup, you will receive a confirmation email. Your teacher will receive an email requesting approval of this recital request. If the teacher does not approve the request for any reason, you will be notified by the office.
5. Book a rehearsal with the accompanist.
   If you are performing a piece and would like a piano accompanist please email Monica@JOMP.org. You can choose to rehearse with the accompanist on the same day as your recital or on a different day.
